As attorney for the inventor of the innovative new Disinfecting Apparatus For A Cassette Film Cartridge we are currently seeking manufacturing companies to license, purchase patent rights or enter into a royalty agreement for this timely invention. Interested parties can reach the attorney at the contact numbers listed at the bottom of this page.
The present invention is a cleaning apparatus for selectively cleaning individual X-ray film cartridges. The system wipes, disinfects, dries and optionally bags a series of loaded or individual cassette film cartridges. Disinfectant is applied to the surface of the cassette and then removed by a drying unit. At the user's discretion, after drying, the cassette is inserted into a plastic bag to prevent cross-contamination of bodily fluids between patients. The disinfection system provides the user with the ability to multi load/stack numerous cassettes automatically while the operator/x-ray technologist tends to other duties.
|
Objects of the present invention:
- to provide a disinfection system that disinfects x-ray film cassette cartridges between uses to prevent cross contamination
- to provide a disinfection system that can be retrofit to existing prior devices
- to provide a disinfection system having rollers with an amount of disinfecting agent thereon
- to provide a disinfection system wherein the rollers apply the antibacterial agent onto the surface of a film cartridge
- to provide a disinfection system wherein said rollers move the cassette cartridge for further processing
- to provide a disinfection system whereby fluid is removed from the cassette cartridge surface
- to provide a disinfection system wherein said removing is performed by a plurality of blades
- to provide a disinfection system including a bagging unit positioned in series after the plurality of blades
- to provide a disinfection system that incorporates a multi loading/stacking system to allow the x-ray technologist/operator to tend to other duties
- to provide a disinfection system whereby selectable functions on the unit, such as clean only, bag only or clean and bag are provided
- to provide a disinfection system that is simple and easy to use
- to provide a disinfection system that is economical in cost to manufacture and operate
