The invention addresses the need of those women looking for exceptional absorption in a sanitary napkin, whether that need is while you are sleeping or during activities. The invention provides a comfort of mind that embarrassing moments can be a thing of the past even during abnormally heavy or extended menstrual flow.

The Combination Tampon and Menstrual Pad is an improved sanitary napkin which combines a tampon-like component with a pad component to form a sanitary napkin having increased absorption capabilities which is ideally suited to the active women, as well as, those having abnormally heavy or extended menstrual flow. The pad has an enlarged gluteal portion and side borders which provide exceptional protection while in a horizontal position, such as sleeping. Additionally the tampon component can be removed so that the tampon or pad can be used individually.
