LIST OF REFERENCE NUMERALS
10 present invention 22 user
12 tines 24 mouth of 22
14 side rail 26 prior art
16 pocket 28 taper
18 handle 30 outer convex side of 14
20 food element 32 inner concave side of 14

FIGURE 1

FIGURE 1 is an illustrative view of prior art 26. The problem with conventional fork eating utensils is certain food elements 20 like peas, beans, rice and many other foods from falling off the fork before reaching the mouth 24 of the user 22. The present invention overcomes this problem by providing an eating utensil with two outer tines having side rails. The rails are convex on the outer side and concave on the inner side rather than having vertical rails which would cause a sharp edge. The side rails form a channel like pocket, preventing foods from falling off the fork.

FIGURE 2

FIGURE 2 is an illustrative view of the present invention 10 in use. The present invention is a railed eating utensil fork 10 having a handle 18 extending to four fork tines 12 with two outer tines 12 having side rails 14, forming a channel like pocket 16 within the fork tines 12. The device prevents certain food elements 20 from falling off the fork 10 before reaching the mouth 24 of the user 22.

FIGURE 9

FIGURE 9 is a cross sectional view of the present invention 10 taken from figure 8 as indicated. Shown is a cross sectional view of the present invention 10 showing the side rails 14 forming a channel like pocket 16 within the fork. The side rails 14 taper 28 smoothly as they extend to the fork handle 18 allowing no sharp portions. The side rails 14 have an outer convex side 30 and an inner concave side 32 and are not vertical thus avoiding having a sharp edge.
