The Corrosion Collector For Batteries consists of a thin, flexible rectangular sheet of copper with an adhesive backing on one side. This adhesive side is protected by a peel off strip that is removed when it is desired to affix the unit to the battery casing. Once placed on the battery (top or side terminals) , the Corrosion Collector reacts with the corrosive gasses in the atmosphere, lessening the damage to the battery terminals.
In an alternative embodiment, the shorter edges of the rectangular sheet have cutout areas to incorporate the terminals, thus exposing more surface area of the device to the corrosive atmosphere.
