Objects of the present invention:
to provide an extendable/retractable barrier suitable for the protection of a baseball pitcher from on coming projectiles
to provide an extendable/retractable barrier that is actuated by motion detection sensors
to provide an extendable/retractable barrier that can be housed below ground level
to provide an extendable/retractable barrier that consists of a protective screen and a plurality of motion sensors housed within an enclosure that is embedded below ground level
to provide an extendable/retractable barrier that protects a baseball pitcher from line drive balls that may exceed the pitcher's means for retrieving said ball in an appropriate manner that may cause harm to his person
