| FIGURE 1 Figure 1 is an illustrative chart showing the user 26 sitting in a chair 28 exercising with the hand-held weights 12 stored in the ottoman 14. Each handheld lap weight 12 has an elongated weight member 18 with handgrips 16 disposed at the ends thereof.

| FIGURE 2 Figure 2, a cushion element 20 encompasses the weight member 18 and the grasping portions of the handgrips 16 have a vinyl covering 30. The cushion element 20 comprises a resilient foam underlayer 32 with a protective vinyl covering 30. The handgrips 16 can assume a linear handgrip configuration 34 or a D-handle 36 as demonstrated in Figures 2, 3 and 8. The present invention 10 provides weights 12 of varying poundage and therefore allows for changes in the dimensional mass of the lap weight, such poundage includes, but is not limited to, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 pound weighted members 18.

| FIGURE 5 Figure 5 Referring now to Figures 4-7 the ottoman 14 is depicted comprising a body 50, a cushioned hinged lid 22 opening to the interior thereof and wheels 40 disposed on the underside of the base 42 for enhanced mobility. The hinges 24 enable the lid 22 to swing open providing access to an interior compartment 48 to a removable weight storage tray 52 for retaining the lap weights 12 when not in use as shown in Figure 5.

| FIGURE 6 Figure 6 An exploded view of the present invention 10 is illustrated in Figure 6 showing the weight tray 52 removed from the ottoman 14 (with the cover not shown) and the set 66 of lap weights 12 removed from their individual contoured 54 seats that may be lined with an appropriate protective material 56 to protect the lap weight 12 and tray 52 during storage. The weight tray 52 resides on a tray support ledge 60 shown in Figures 6 and 7 with the resulting area subjacent the lap weight storage tray 52 provided as a user selectable ancillary storage compartment 62, such as for periodicals but not limited to such. The ottoman's 14 hinged lid 22 is cushioned for the placement thereon of a user's legs and feet providing a functional piece of furniture for a living room/family room setting. The ottoman 14 in combination with the lap weights 12 forms a system that is aesthetically pleasing while allowing the user to work out while sitting in their favorite chair.

| FIGURE 7 Figure 7 depicts a cross sectional view of the lap weights 12 and storage ottoman 14 taken from figure 4 as indicated. The body 50 of the ottoman 14 comprises a base 42 with upwardly depending vertical sidewalls 44 projecting therefrom and the cushioned lid 22 attached to one sidewall 44 with a hinge 24. The weight support tray 52 is residing on the tray support ledge 60. The lap weights 12 are sitting in their respective seats 54 which are lined with a protective material 56. The lap weight support tray 52 divides the interior compartment 48 and the ancillary compartment 62. It is envisioned that the actual number of lap weights 12 and their poundage will vary as a design characteristic.

| FIGURE 8 Figure 8 further shows indicia 38 disposed on the weighted members 18 to identify the poundage of the of the associated lap weight 12 and the opposing relations of the grasping portions 64 of the linear handgrips 34 and the D-handle handgrips 36 relative to their associated weight members 18. The cushioning element 20 is provided as a shock absorbent material for when the weight comes into contact with a user's body with the weight member 18 preferably of steel or iron.
