The present invention is a device to aid in the removal or tear strips from papers having tear strips attached thereto.

Objects of the present invention:

  • to provide a tool that aids in the removal of tear strips from pieces of paper that utilize them

  • to provide a tear strip removal device comprising two pivotally fastened members with one member intended as a force redirection member while the other remains as a stationary base

  • to provide a tear strip removal device having a handle extending to a flange

  • to provide a tear strip removal device wherein said handle member is hingedly fastened to the other member forming a base

  • to provide a tear strip removal device having a cushioned handle grip providing means for exerting pressure on said tear strips during the separation task
