Praise for Alicia Jonas:

"It is my very great pleasure to state that in my 27 years at Steinway, Ms. Alicia Jonas has been in a very elite group of what I call "superb" piano instructors. Ms. Jonas has done much more than just "teach" piano. She instructs her students how to practice (a very rare abilty and something 99% of the teachers I know don't do), and she is particularly strong in her methods of teaching musically, the ability to play musically, not just notes and rhythm. In essence, I would and have recommended Ms. Jonas to any age, or ability student, as I know she will be equally adept and at ease with all."

Jon Verbalis, President of Piano Teachers' Congress

"In her book "Rhythmic Diagrams," Alicia Jonas, the composer of many wonderful and impressive teaching materials, created a highly imaginative and useful tool for young students. Ms. Jonas points out in the introduction of her book, Children these days are growing up in an increasingly visual world. Teaching concepts of rhythm and meter into a visual language that can be easily understood by students. Ms. Jonas has made an important contribution throughout her career as a teacher and composer. Teachers and students can be grateful for her latest endeavor to help make rhythm and meter comprehensive in a new and creative way. "

Richard Shirk, Mannes College of Music, New York City

"Ms. Alicia Jonas in an extraordinarily simple and accessible way, solves one of the most important problems tormenting music teachers. The aim of this book is to offer pedagogues practical advice and examples regarding solving multiple rhythmic tasks with the aid of the visual method among others. During practice I noticed utilizing the visual method facilitates the teaching process, enhances imagination, and accelerates the student's musical development."

Alicia Tryk, Teacher - Boyls Dvarionas Music School, Vilnius Lithuania

Gideon Waldrop, President Manhattan School of Music

"These highly imaginative and colorful pieces by Alicia Jonas have proven to be very successful with my students. They discover the entire range of the keyboard, many techniques for playing the notes, musicality and interesting dynamics. My students anticipate each new piece with much excitement."
