The present invention relates to a recording system, and more specifically to a proximity sensor and impact recording system including photo sensors and cameras placed on a user's vehicle for detecting the proximity of other vehicles in relation to the user's vehicle. When other vehicles are within a pre-determined range of the user's vehicle, sensors are activated. When the other vehicles make contact with the user's vehicle, a photo of the other vehicle is taken. The system prevents other drivers from committing 'hit and run' situations.
|
Objects of the present invention:
- to provide a proximity sensor and impact recording system that includes at least one photo-sensor
- to provide a proximity sensor and impact recording system wherein the photo-sensors are strategically placed to observe other vehicles to the front, back, passenger and driver sides of the vehicle
- to provide a proximity sensor and impact recording system wherein the photo-sensors are activated on the front and back of the vehicle when the other vehicle is within 10 feet of the vehicle
- to provide a proximity sensor and impact recording system wherein the photo-sensors are activated on the driver and passenger of the vehicle when the other vehicle is within 5 feet of the vehicle
- to provide a proximity sensor and impact recording system that includes at least one camera that takes at least one picture of the object impacting the vehicle
- to provide a proximity sensor and impact recording system that can be activated when the vehicle is off, to record 'hit and run' impacts
- to provide a proximity sensor and impact recording system that includes a display within the vehicle to indicate to the user where other vehicles are in relation to the user's vehicle
- to provide a proximity sensor and impact recording system that automatically sends the photograph to the user's insurance company and the local police department
