As attorney for the inventor of the innovative new Party Blowout Novelty Items With Fun Additions we are currently seeking investors and manufacturing companies to license, purchase patent rights or enter into a royalty agreement for this timely invention. Interested parties can reach the attorney at the contact numbers listed at the bottom of this page.

The present invention relates generally to party toys and practical joke devices and, more specifically, to blow-out novelty items. Blow-out novelty items and practical joke devices have been around for a long time. They comprise a mouthpiece attached to a rolled up, deflated display portion. The display portion can be unrolled and/or inflated and thereby distensible by blowing air into the device.

The present invention provides a blow-out novelty item (pneumatic toy) having a rolled body having a novelty shape when distensible. The item has a flexible joint whereby the distensible body will oscillate, giving the appearance of wiggling. The blow-out novelty item may include an air release valve adapted to generate an audible sound.

Invention Objects & Goals

  • to provide a blow-out novelty item in the form of a pneumatic toy

  • to provide a blow-out novelty item with a display portion that can be unrolled and/or inflated and thereby distensible by blowing air into the device

  • to provide a blow-out novelty item having different novelty shapes

  • to provide a blow-out novelty item having an air release valve adapted to make novelty sounds

  • to provide a blow-out novelty item having a flexible joint which causes the body to wiggle when distensible

  • to provide blow-out novelty items having a variety of different shapes including foods, people, body parts, animals, for examples in the form of a snake or mythological creature, such as a dragon with an extendible portion, such as ears, eyes or tongue, and the like

FIGURE 1

FIGURE 1 is an illustrative view of prior art 11. Blow-out novelty items are known in the art. They comprise a mouthpiece 12 attached to a body 14 inflatable from a rolled position 16 to a distensible position 18. When air is blown into the mouthpiece 12, the air inflates the body 14 to an unrolled, distensible position 18.

FIGURE 2 is an illustrative chart of embodiments of the present invention. The present invention provides a blow-out novelty item 10 having a mouthpiece 12 connected to a body 14 which can be inflated from a rolled position 16 to a distensible position 18. When a user blows air into the mouthpiece 12, the body 14 unrolls to a distensible position 18 which reveals a novelty shape 24. Examples of types of shapes 26 include food 28, body parts 30 such as a penis 76, people 32 and animals 34. Specific examples include snakes 36 or mythological creatures 38 such as dragons 40, holiday themed shapes 42 such as witches 44 and skeletons 46, and foods 28 such as hot dogs 48 and lollipops 50.

FIGURE 3

FIGURE 3 is a sectional view of the present invention 10 in distensible position 18. The blow-out novelty item 10 includes a mouthpiece 12 and a body 14. The mouthpiece 12 has an air inlet 52 at the first end 54 with the second end 56 in conduit connection with the body 14. A coil wire spring 58 extends from the mouthpiece 12 through the body 14 to bias the body 14 into a rolled position. When air 20 is blown into the mouthpiece 12 through the air inlet 52, the air 20 inflates, unrolls and extends the body 14. Shown also are a plurality of flexible joints 60 in the body 14 which, when the body 14 is extended, allow the body 14 to oscillate, giving the appearance of wiggling. Portions of the body 14 are formed of an elastomeric, distensible material 62 that protrude therefrom when under pneumatic pressure.

FIGURE 4 is an illustrative view of the present invention 10 in the shape of a snake 36, shown in both rolled position 16 and distensible position 18. The blow-out novelty item 10 includes a mouthpiece 12 and a body 14 formed of an elastomeric, distensible material 62. The mouthpiece 12 has an air inlet 52 at the first end 54 with the second end 56 in conduit connection with the body 14. A coil wire spring 58 extends from the mouthpiece 12 through the body 14 as a means to bias the body 14 into a rolled position 16. When air 20 is blown into the mouthpiece 12 through the air inlet 52, the air 20 inflates, unrolls and extends the body 14 into a novelty shape, such as a snake 36. The shapes can have extendible portions such as fangs 64, eyes 66 or a tongue 68. Shown also is an air release valve 70 forming a hiss tube in the tongue 68 adapted to generate an audible sound such as a snake hissing. Shown also are flexible rubber joints 60 in the body 14 for causing a wiggling motion.

The blow-out novelty item 10 includes a mouthpiece 12 and a rolled body 14 formed of an elastomeric, distensible material 62. The mouthpiece 12 has an air inlet 52 at the first end 54 with the second end 56 in conduit connection with the body 14. When air is blown into the mouthpiece 12 through the air inlet 52, the air inflates, unrolls and extends the body 14 into a novelty shape, such as a dragon 40. The novelty shapes can have extendible portions such as fangs 64, jaws 72 or a tongue 68. Shown also is an air release valve 70 adapted to generate an audible sound such as a dragon hissing. Shown also are flexible joints 60 in the body 14 for causing a wiggling motion.

As attorney for the inventor of the innovative new Dual Use Chopsticks we are currently seeking investors and manufacturing companies to license, purchase patent rights or enter into a royalty agreement for this timely invention. Interested parties can reach the attorney at the contact numbers listed at the bottom of this page.

Chopsticks have been used for centuries in Asian countries as utensils for eating food. During the past several decades, American diners began using chopsticks in restaurants that serve Asian food. Many of these diners prefer using chopsticks over using forks. However, outside of the Asian restaurants, they continue to use forks and knives. So, chopsticks are used mainly as a novelty by Americans. Even though they use chopsticks in these restaurants, they continue to use forks, spoons, and drinking straws.

Since chopsticks are primarily a novelty item, it would be useful to enhance their novelty. Many American patrons of Asian restaurants would like to use chopsticks not only for grasping solid foods but also as a drinking straw for liquids. In addition, many American patrons, especially children, find chopsticks difficult to use. It would be desirable to have a chopstick assembly that would make it easier to grasp food as well as to be used for drinking liquids.

Invention Objects & Goals

  • to provide a set of chopsticks that act both as utensils to pick up food and as a straw for drinking liquid

  • to provide an improvement on conventional chopsticks that are currently used as eating utensils

  • to provide a set of chopsticks that will be easier to use for both children and adults

  • to provide chopsticks that can be easily marketed to the restaurant industry

  • to provide chopsticks that will be easy to use and economical to manufacture
