Objects of the present invention:
- to provide an autonomous system for heating windshield wiper blades using solar energy
- to provide solar heated wiper blades that can be installed on new or retrofitted to existing cars
- to provide solar heated wiper blades that prevent the buildup of ice and snow whether the vehicle is moving or stationary
- to provide solar heated wiper blades with means for harnessing solar energy
- to provide solar heated wiper blades with means for storing solar energy and dispensing it upon actuation by a predetermined condition into the windshield wiper blades as heat
- to provide solar heated wiper blades with a temperature sensor for determining when a heating element is necessary
- to provide windshield wiper blades incorporating a heating circuit comprised of said solar cells, power supply, temperature sensor and thermally conductive element encompassed by the wiper blade
- to provide solar heated wiper blades with autonmous means for selectively engaging said heating circuit regardless of the operative state of the motor vehicle
- to provide solar heated wiper blades that are replaceable and easily installed by snapping on
