As attorney for the inventor of the innovative new Method For Taking Liquid Medication we are currently seeking investors and manufacturing companies to license, purchase patent rights or enter into a royalty agreement for this timely invention. Interested parties can reach the attorney at the contact numbers listed at the bottom of this page.

The present invention relates generally to dispensers and, more specifically, to a childproof dispenser with a plurality of single dosage medicants in pre-measured packets.

Many medications come in larger containers with dosage instructions for children and adults, which requires the user to measure the prescribed amount into a spoon or provided measuring cup. In the case of the provided cup, this can lead to contamination of the container and spread the affliction to others. A more pertinent failing of the prior art is the inconvenience of having to carry a larger container around when visiting or traveling even for short duration.

In a preferred method of construction of the present invention, the container contains a single compartment for housing a single dose pre-measured liquid medicine packet. The medicine packets are secured within the container with a child proof lid.

Objects of the present invention:

  • to provide a more sterile method of medication delivery

  • to provide individual dosage of medications in frangible packets

  • to provide individual dosages of medications in child packets and adult packets

  • to provide a childproof dispenser containing a plurality of said frangible packets

  • to provide individual packets with a pre-measured quantity to prevent over dosage of medications

The following pictures are meant to display possible physical characteristics of the present invention and are not to be taken in a limiting sense. It is understood that other embodiments may be utilized and that structural changes may be made without departing from the scope of the invention.

FIGURE 1

FIGURE 1 is in illustrative view of the present invention 10 in use. The present invention is a childproof dispenser with a plurality of single dosage medicant packets 12 that are pre-measured to alleviate the mess and hassle of measuring a prescribed amount into a measuring utensil whether cup or spoon. The present invention further provides that the single dose packets can be carried and the medicine14 dispensed from the disposable packet 12 directly into the mouth 18 of the user 16 thereby reducing the risk of contamination when using a cup, spoon or resealable container.

FIGURE 2 is a perspective view of the present invention 10. Shown is a single dose pre-measured liquid medicine packet 12 that discharges liquid medication 14 from the packet 12 by tearing it open and applying manual pressure from the thumb and forefinger so as to cause the packet 12 to discharge the liquid medication 14 directly into a user's mouth. The packets 12 are protected from heat and sun by a layer of ultra violet protective material 20.

FIGURE 4 is a sectional view of the present invention 10. Shown is a single dose pre-measured liquid medicine packet 12 that discharges liquid medication 14 therefrom. Each packet 12 comprises a pair of impermeable flexible sheets 28 that are UV protected 20 and bonded together on all four sides thereby forming an interior reservoir 30 for retaining the liquid medication 14 therein. A tear strip 22 is provided on one side that when removed from the tear line 24 of the packet 12 provides access to the medication 14 therein.
