Objects of the present invention:
- to provide a traffic control device that will provide a driver of a motor vehicle with an audible and visual notification regarding the status of any upcoming traffic lights
- to provide a traffic control device wherein traffic signals are provided with transmitters having a microprocessor that will deliver one signal for a predetermined distance when the light is green and another when the light is red
- to provide a traffic control device wherein each vehicle will be equipped with a traffic light status unit that will include a transmitter programmed to receive the signals from the traffic signal transmitter and respond accordingly
- to provide a traffic control device containing a traffic light status unit that includes a green light, a yellow light and a red light that will illuminate the appropriate color of an upcoming traffic signal
- to provide a traffic control device that includes a speaker that will activate distinctly different sounds according to the signal received by the transmitter to provide an audible means for the driver to determine the status of an upcoming traffic light
- to provide a traffic control device wherein said traffic light status unit includes a forward vehicle braking status indicator with associated transmitter disposed towards the rear of the unit and in communication with the vehicle's braking system wherein said braking status transmitter is activated once the vehicle comes to a full stop
- to provide a traffic control device wherein the signal of the braking status transmitter is transmitted 100-200 feet and if a second car is within that range the signal will be received by traffic light status unit of the second car and activate the master cylinder of the second car's brake system to stop that car
- to provide a traffic control device that is simple and easy to use
- to provide a traffic control device that is inexpensive to manufacture and operate
