Figure 7 is a perspective view of an alternate embodiment of the invention consisting of a lid member that is hinged to the frame back. When in the sofa configuration, the lid member may be used for a shelf. When in the bed configuration position, the top portion may be folded back and out of the way, or lowered to hold bedside accessories or snacks. The side board is separated for this view to show the hooks and hook receptacles by which it is attached.

Figure 8 is a perspective view of an alternate embodiment of the invention consisting of a lid member that is hinged to the frame back. The lid member is shown in the raised position.
